Why buy toys?

Okay, we're done buying toys for Jack. Why?

It's not that he doesn't enjoy them. It's just that he enjoys regular stuff more. TV remotes...a stack of neatly ordered papers.

And evidently...GEAR SHIFT KNOBS. FOR PETE'S SAKE, PUT YOUR FOOT ON THE BRAKE! SEATBELT!!!! ARE YOU WATCHING WHERE YOU'RE GOING?

These last 2 are from Jack's cousin Hannah's 1st birthday. He had a lot of fun running around, but what did he really want to do? Pull drinks out of the bucket and drink the water off the top. No kidding, we had to physically restrain him from playing in there. Armin's hands got cold after 10 seconds. Jack was in there off-and-on for 1.5 hours. We seriously thought he'd go hypothermic.

First, find an appropriate drink (all were non-alcoholic)


Then, drink the water off the top and replace the drink by throwing back in the bucket.

For those who care, Kelly and Armin didn't put his hat on like that. We put it on bill-forward. Jack is the one who changed it this way.
