Trying to think of everything we've done since early February. Really, not much. The biggest thing is that Jack went and visited Granddad Jim and Mimi (Grandma Jean) in Dallas in mid-March. Weather was beautiful, and Jack traveled fairly well (until the return trip home...see below). Flew out late Friday, returned the next Saturday.
On Sunday, we took a train ride from Grapevine down to the stockyards in Fort Worth. Grabbed a quick lunch, then tried to hustle to see the cattle drive...however, the slow service didn't cooperate. Jack did like the train ride, though.
Here's a quick pic of 4 of us waiting to catch the train back.
And of course, Granddad HAD to get his picture taken with Jack...on a longhorn. This is Pecos Bill.
On Monday, Kelly, Armin, and Jack got to visit Dave, Lana, Cameron, and Quinn Grogan. Dave and Armin were college roomies for 2 years. We'd last seen Cameron as an toddler back in 2004...and we'd never met Quinn. It was great...and we were so lame we didn't take pictures. However, Kelly and Jack met up with Lana and the kids on Wednesday (Armin had to take a quick business trip), and they ran around the Southlake Town Center. Jack took a spill, and the resultant scrape on his nose looked wonderful for Easter pictures. Cameron and Quinn are WONDERFUL kids (like their parents) although Quinn is somehow convinced that he's already attended high school and college (?) Here they are at the town center...
And here's the result of Jack's nose scrape.

Thursday Jack, Mommy, Granddad and Mimi went to the Fort Worth zoo. Jack LOVED the "ellys" (elephants) and "bebras" (zebras). Here he's sitting on Granddad's shoulders looking at the elephants.
Are you seeing a trend? Jack and Granddad in every picture...Granddad actually shoved Mimi out of the way to push the stroller.
Jack loves shoes...and he also loves the monkey backpack/leash we got so he can be a bit more mobile. Much easier when he was confined to a stroller, but the kid just has to run (those are Mimi's Crocs, BTW...)
And finally, before we flew back on Saturday, Jack got an early visit from the Easter bunny.
We had a great time. Beautiful weather. Traveling back, Jack did okay. Tougher with some extra stops. Unfortunately, the plane was a bit warm, so....
Warm plane + tired kid + "just ate" + motion = "I'm going to barf on Daddy."
Sigh....

Cute pics! That one with the longhorn makes me want to head to the stockyards next time I'm in Dallas. Speaking of which... we'd be there right now if it weren't for freakin' American Airlines! Grrr... :( Glad you had a good trip!
